Job Description

Your main role would be to pick store orders safely, productively and accurately for our customers who are our retail stores.

Based at our Swan Valley Distribution Centre you will be working a fixed shift pattern with either 6am or 2pm start time and be available to work a 5 out of 7 day contract, which would include weekend working and on occasions overtime.

The pay rate for the role is £6.31 per hour and payment is made 4-weekly direct into your bank or building society account.

Measures of Performance

 - SAFETY - To comply with all Health & Safety requirements
 - PRODUCTIVITY - To achieve required picking rate per shift.
 - SERVICE - To ensure picking accuracy target is met per shift.
 - STOCK CARE – To pick orders carefully to minimise any stock damage.
 - HOUSEKEEPING – To keep your working area clean and tidy.
 - OTHER – To carry out any other duties as required by your line manager.
 - VALUES – To live the company values.

The Person

The successful applicant will want to join a locally based family run company who can offer them the opportunity of permanent long term employment.

Holding decent English language and numerical skills, a positive work ethic and with good timekeeping they would be proud to work for 99p Stores, live their values and want to play a part in the continued success of the company.

Experience of Distribution Centre environments and a PPT licence would be preferred but is not essential as full training will be given.
